Margaret Peter
Marg’s work is strongly textural and impressionistic. The natural environment and changing seasons serve to inspire Marg as her images reflect life in its transient state. She has recently worked on a mixed media series called Earth’s Treasures. Her vibrantly colourful pieces draw upon an eclectic array of subjects with floral, landscape, figurative and abstract themes. Printmaking subjects usually involve fossils, cats, pictographs and petroglyphs. Marg’s work has been shown in many solo shows in private and public galleries across Canada including the University of Waterloo and Guelph Civic Museum. She has received several juror awards. Her work resides in private collections worldwide and she is featured in newspaper, magazine and television interviews. |
