Naomi Assenheim designs stunning pieces of wearable art jewellery made from rare precious and semi-precious gemstones, fossils, metal, feathers, sea shells and other North American based, sustainable and locally-harvested natural materials.

Her unique creations range from feathery earrings, stunning necklaces to precious amulets, cuff bracelets and rings. Hand-forged metal jewelry with a modern touch, each piece combines contemporary work with ancient methods and legendary stories.

Naomi’s silver and carving training started in Baffin Island where she learned to carve sustainable harvested narwhale ivory, walrus tusk and caribou antler, training with traditional Inuit artist Matthew Nuqingaq.
Journeying next to Mexico, Naomi learned the healing and spiritual qualities of amber, turquoise, opal, jade, and jasper, exploring in her work ancient Mayan, Aztec and Zapotec legends.

Most recently she trained in Southern Alberta with the gemstone Ammolite, which triggered a vast exploration of Canadian gemstones she now features in much of her work.
