Abstract and contemporary artist Sheri Tenaglia has explored the dynamic interplay of light and shadow in nature, pushing colour to the extreme for dramatic results.
Recognized for her work in soft pastel, Sheri’s fascination for unique textures, patterns and movement of water in nature has led her to most recently experiment in encaustic and mixed media. These paintings break the rules of encaustic through a unique technique that provides new consideration to this ancient method.
A graduate in graphic arts from Toronto’s George Brown College, Sheri plays an active role in the arts community as an art teacher to all levels of artists, and also via her involvement with several arts organizations.
Throughout her career she has completed many commissioned works and has exhibited in many galleries and collections throughout Canada and the United States.
Sheri works daily at either her studio in the Williams Mill or her home studio.
