2011 Arts Alive Award for Culture
The Board of Directors of the Williams Mill Visual Arts Centre is pleased to congratulate Mary Lou and Doug Brock on their receipt of the "2011 Arts Alive Award for Culture". This award recognizes their contribution in founding and developing the Williams Mill Visual Arts Center in historic buildings in the Glen Williams Hamlet within Halton Hills.
This Arts Alive award, which is presented only every five years, recognizes individuals who have displayed excellence in the field of cultural development within the Halton Hills community.
Mary Lou and Doug are now transitioning toward a well-deserved retirement from their involvement at the Williams Mill, and leaving the next phase of development to the Williams Mill Visual Arts Centre, a not for profit corporation.
