Register for Classes

The Williams Mill Visual Arts Centre is pleased to offer its adult and youth arts education programs for Spring/Summer 2013 (April to August 2013), and invites all artistic levels to register for our outstanding classes and workshops. Courses are delivered from our Arts Education Centre, a fully-equipped accessible facility situated in a unique heritage setting on the site of the Williams Mill. 

We are pleased to introduce many new classes and workshops and invite you to register now for art programs starting in September.

Introducing New Programs for Youth - Spring & Summer 2013

Art Education programs for youth 6 years and older

Registration is now available for the arts education classes and workshops for youth for Spring & Summer 2013 at the Williams Mill Visual Arts Centre.  Register by month or for a series of classes over the next 3 months that are offered on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 4 to 6 pm. 

Each month will challenge the emerging artist to experience artistic development in a different medium.  The following is a list of the themes for each month:

April 2013    
Hand Casting & Paper Mache
In this session, the young artist will have the opportunity to work on three dimensional projects including hand casting and paper mache.


May 2013
Printmaking
Through the exploration of texture and colour, discover a variety of techniques used in printmaking.  The young artist will create works in fabric art, sun prints and printmaking.

June 2013
Glass Art
The young artist will have the opportunity to work with glass in creating pieces that will be fused into beautiful masterpieces.

Camp One:  July 15 to 19, 2013 - Monday to Friday - Ages 6 to 12
Creative Creatures
In this camp for the young artist, explore and try out different materials and techniques to make all kinds of amazing art!  It is time to be inspired and enjoy art, the remarkable world of nature and being all things creative.


Camp Two:  August 19 to 23 - Monday to Friday - Ages 6 to 12
Cartooning Curiosity

In this camp for the young artist, you and your friends will use curiosity to create amazing artwork and stories caturing cartoon images using imagination and different kinds of mediums, from painting, to printmaking, to carving, to illustration.  Join us for a week of cartoon curiosity.

Registration Policy

Registration Payments

Payment in full must be made at the time of registration.  Register online, by mail or in person.   The WMVAC accepts cash, cheque, VISA, Mastercard and Debit.

NSF Cheque Fees

There will be a $25 administration charge for NSF cheques.

Enrolment

To avoid disappointment, please register early.

Course Cancellation or Changes

In some cases a course or workshop may be cancelled due to inadequate enrolment.  The WMVAC reserves the right to change, alter or cancel any courses.

Refund Policy

Course Cancellation

If the WMVAC cancels your course, you are entitled to a full course refund.

Course Withdrawal

If it is necessary to withdraw prior to the start of a course or workshop prior to the start, a refund of course fees less a $25.00 administration fee will be issued.
