About Williams MillInterested in Volunteering?We are a non-profit organization located in the hamlet of Glen Williams at the heritage site of the Williams Mill. Our vision is to be widely known as a Centre of Excellence for visual art, artists and education, supporting the works created by a group of professional Mill artists and the broader arts and cultural community. The facility includes an Arts Education Centre, the Williams Mill Gallery and over 30 professional resident artist studios. Our volunteers have the opportunity to be involved in this vibrant and creative visual arts setting. Opportunities range from assisting in the Williams Mill Gallery to offering expertise on a variety of committees. We are currently seeking volunteers in the following areas: Board of DirectorsWe are a non-profit organization that is mandated to advance the visual arts in the Province of Ontario. We are currently seeking Board Members for the following positions:
Subcommittees of the BoardArts Management CommitteeOur Arts Management Committee oversees the operations of the Williams Mill Gallery including selection of qualified artists for art exhibits, consignment artists, etc. We are seeking volunteer members for the Arts Management Committee that have experience with curating art exhibits, gallery management and financial sustainability, gallery merchandising, special events, etc.
Williams Mill GalleryOur Gallery showcases not only the work of our Mill artists, but also the works of other renowned artists and craftspeople. The Gallery is open to the public Wednesday to Sunday and is primarily staffed by volunteers.
